Brian Horton, the creative director of Marvel’s Wolverine at Insomniac Games, has reportedly left to join Xbox’s Perfect Dark reboot. Horton has not been involved with Wolverine since summer 2024, leading to new appointments: Marcus Smith as creative director and Mike Daly as game director, taking over from Cameron Christian.
The Perfect Dark reboot, developed by The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics, received its first gameplay trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2024. Marvel’s Wolverine, announced in 2021, is set in Earth-1048, the same universe as Insomniac’s Spider-Man games. The game faced a significant leak in December 2023, revealing gameplay footage and other details due to a ransomware attack.
